In cases where the intake air is relatively dirty with large particles, it is placed in front of the pre-filter filtration class G3 according to EN 779 (respectively according to ASHRAE 52-76 and DIN 24 185). If water-based liquid coatings are used, fresh air must also be heated to a temperature above 15 ° C, which is why copper-aluminum heat exchangers for hot water or steam are most commonly used.

Hot air generators serve to heat the air to the temperature required for the technological process. We divide them into two large groups for direct and indirect air heating. The first direct air heating group has a higher degree of efficiency, but many technological processes can't support combustion products, so as such they find less use. Natural gas and propane-butane are the most commonly used energy source, while fuel oil are rarely used.
